Breast augmentation, also known as mammoplasty or
augmentation or breast augmentation, is a cosmetic surgery that modifies the size, shape or texture of the breasts.

Recovery after breast augmentation can vary, but here are some things you can expect:

- It is common for the breasts to swell and distend after surgery, and swelling can peak between 2 and 3 days. Most of the swelling goes away in about 3 months.
